BSO TRIES TO STOP CAR WITH STOLEN TAG SUSPECTS SHOOT AT DEPUTIES- DEPUTIES RETURN FIRE NAB BAD GUYS IN DEERFIELD BEACH

Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach, Fl-BSO Deputies chased a vehicle with a stolen tag from Pompano Beach to Deerfield Beach yesterday afternoon.

The chase ended in front of the Deerfield Beach fire station we have posted several photos from readers who were at the beach at the time of the incident.

Here is the official statement from BSO Public Information Officer Miranda Grossman- Around 2:09 p.m. Saturday Broward County Regional Communications received a call in reference to a shooting in Pompano Beach.

Initial investigation reveals Pompano Beach deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle with a stolen tag. Upon attempting to pull the vehicle over in the area of A1A north of Atlantic Boulevard, the driver did not stop. The occupants inside of the vehicle fired multiple times on deputies. Deputies returned fire.

The subjects fled toward Deerfield Beach where they were taken into custody in front of 71 Southeast 21st Street.

Two of the suspects have out of state warrants for felony possession of a firearm.

No deputies were injured. One suspect sustained injuries that are not life threatening
