Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit are investigating a crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle that resulted in the death of a 45-year-old Pompano Beach man.
At approximately 12:39 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 25, Broward County Regional Communications received a call reporting a crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle near the 2300 block of West Atlantic Boulevard. Broward Sheriff’s Office district deputies and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue responded.
The preliminary on scene investigation revealed Francisco Lluberes was riding a 2023 Suzuki GSXR-600 motorcycle traveling eastbound on West Atlantic Boulevard. Meanwhile, Paul Adwar was driving a 2023 Nissan Sentra traveling westbound on West Atlantic Boulevard attempting to turn left at the intersection when the crash occurred.
According to investigators, as the Nissan Sentra entered the path of the Suzuki motorcycle, the motorcycle impacted the Nissan Sentra in a “T-bone” type collision. After the crash the Nissan Sentra continued to a controlled stop in the eastbound lanes while the motorcycle came to a final rest in the area of collision.
