Public Information Officer Carey Codd is currently gathering the details. Here’s what we know so far:

Around 11:30 p.m. on Friday, March 27, Broward County Regional Communications received a report of a domestic-related stabbing in the 4700 block of Northeast First Terrace in Deerfield Beach. Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded. On scene, deputies located an adult female suffering from stab wounds. Paramedics transported her to a nearby hospital for treatment of her injuries. The adult male suspect, who lives with the victim, was not on scene when deputies arrived. Following an investigation, shortly before 3:30 a.m., BSO deputies in Pompano Beach located the suspect’s vehicle in the area of East Copans Road and North Dixie Highway in Pompano Beach. A BSO deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on the vehicle, but the suspect refused to stop and traveled a short distance before crashing the vehicle into a fence, abandoning the vehicle and fleeing on foot. Deputies then took the suspect into custody. Inside the vehicle, deputies located a teenage female suffering from stab wounds. Both the suspect and the teenage victim were taken to area hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Deputies arrested the adult male, Eric Senat, 2/17/1992. BSO’s Special Victims and Crime Scene units are actively investigating the circumstances of the incident. BSO has contacted the Florida Department of Children and Families regarding this case
