Deerfield-News. com-Deerfield Beach, FL-With all due respect and kudos to Pats’ King of Steaks in Philadelphia, Andrew at Seaside Subs is the King of cheese steaks in South Florida. This Jersey boy spent five years living and working in the Philadelphia area, and, aside from Pat’s, I have eaten at some of the most popular steak shops, including Larry’s, Geno’s, D’Alessandro’s, Tony Luke’s, and others.
Now, before I get those readers who will surely leave comments. I have been living and visiting here for over 50 years. I love The Steak Shop, Sonny’s Hogies, and D’Best and Pizza District in Boca, which are all also favorites of mine, for cheese steaks.
That said, Andrew at Seaside Subs, who does not make the “Cheese Steak” subs daily, probably should, but that is his call. Today and tomorrow, it is on the menu as a special item; do not miss out.
Due to the weather, I was unable to conduct my Trunk Top Taste Test, but I ate in the car instead. I had a cheese steak with onions and peppers, and Cooper sharp cheese, today. Folks on the Portnoy scale, this was a 9.5, and that is just a fact. My first time ever with the “Cooper” sharp cheese, and I was blown away by the entire sandwich from the roll to the rib-eye.
