- Description of Incident:
Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a murder that occurred in Deerfield Beach on Saturday.
According to investigators, at approximately 12:04 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, Broward County Regional Communications received a call regarding an individual making suicidal threats at 601 N.W. 42nd Court in Deerfield Beach. Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies responded. Deputies additionally learned that there may be an adult female inside the home with life-threatening stab wounds. On scene, deputies immediately forced entry into the home and discovered an adult female deceased inside the residence.
During a sweep of the residence, deputies found an adult male, Avion White, suffering from apparent self-inflicted wounds. White was taken to North Broward Medical Center for treatment.
White is being charged with second degree murder.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
