During the darkness that is coronavirus crisis, a local businessman and Florida native Tony Bevilaqua has created the “Candle Of Hope” to pay tribute to the doctors, healthcare workers, and first responders during this time. The Candle Of Hope can be seen at the firehouse located on Hillsboro Boulevard and Federal Highway. The twelve-foot candle is made from recycled materials and lit with solar lights.

About the artist, Tony Bevilaqua

His artwork is created from recycled materials. Last year for world oceans day he created the 8th Flamingo from water bottles. This year he created a piece from items found at a beach and park cleanup

Bevilaqua has a business in Boca and is a private wealth manager. He is passionate about the environment and promoting education and environmental awareness.
