Domestic Dispute in Deerfield Beach Leads To BSO K-9 Biting Suspect

The subject fled a domestic violence scene and battered a BSO Deputy.

At approximately 2:30 p.m. this afternoon, Friday, Aug. 22, Broward Sheriff’s Office Deerfield Beach deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call in the 1000 block of Southeast Fourth Court. When BSO deputies arrived, the adult male subject fled. A BSO K-9 deputy attempted to arrest the subject; however, the subject resisted and attacked the deputy. The deputy’s K-9 was utilized to apprehend the subject. Following the arrest, the subject was taken to Broward Health North for treatment. The investigation into the incident is active and ongoing.
