Just before 10 p.m. on Sunday, May 11, Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of North Military Trail and West Hillsboro Boulevard in Deerfield Beach. Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue also responded and transported both drivers to an area hospital for treatment of their injuries. Detectives with BSO’s Traffic Homicide Unit were notified to investigate due to the severity of one of the driver’s injuries. Investigators say the other driver was treated and released from the hospital. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
