Deerfield-News. com-Deerfield Beach, FL-I could not make this up. This morning, at approximately 3.05 AM, I witnessed two BSO-marked units, driven by deputies, running stop signs. This occurred at Newport and West Gate Drive and again at West Drive and Powerline Road. These deputies, I would assume, answered a call somewhere in the Newport section of Century Village East in Deerfield Beach.
Usually, I wouldn’t be out, but I was trying to take pictures of where drivers in Century Village have been running stop signs. This is one of the corners where it has been occurring.
That is when I saw the two deputies in marked cars blowing through the stop signs. I called the BSO’s non-emergency number to report the incident. I spoke to two people who provided me with their IDs, which were Badge 21059 and Badge 17869, respectively.
All of our readers following this week have seen the stories and videos we took on Tuesday and Thursday. We also have additional video from Friday, showing dozens of CVE residents and contractors blowing through stop signs in Century Village during the morning and evening rush hours.
I would think it would be easy to identify the two Deerfield Beach deputies, but remember, I am speaking with someone at the call center in Fort Lauderdale.
I have made a public records request of my call to BSO.
