Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach, FL-Last week’s post about the opening of the 99-cent Farmers Market on Tenth and Federal generated a lot of interest.
Yesterday, I grabbed some blueberries, tomatoes, watermelon, bananas, Pita bread, which was frozen from Angel Bakeries, and it was excellent, along with the falafel from the frozen food section. I was very surprised. The watermelon was ripe, sweet, and delicious!
For that one reader and you know who you are, the Amnons falafel and pita from Angel Bakeries, while frozen, were as good as any I have found fresh-baked locally in bakeries or pita shops with fresh veggies and a little hummus, and the watermelon to wash it down, That Was Nectar!
So, for those that may not know,w we have had J and J Farms on West Hillsboro Boulevard for decades. Offering farm fresh fruits and farm fresh vegetables right here on Hillsboro Boulevard, independently owned and operated. Come on out and support Deerfield Beach’s farmers market.
They also have some fresh bakery products and Kosher Bakery products, some frozen foods as well as some Kosher Food and Israeli items.
