Public Information Officer Carey Codd is currently gathering the details. Here’s what we know so far:
Around 12:30 p.m. this afternoon, a male subject carjacked a BMW at a gas station located at 1277 West Hillsboro Boulevard in Deerfield Beach. Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to investigate. BSO’s V.I.P.E.R. (Violence Intervention Proactive Enforcement Response) Unit along with BSO’s Aviation Unit located the stolen vehicle. BSO’s V.I.P.E.R. Unit conducted a PIT maneuver on the vehicle in the area of 3400 West Sunrise Boulevard, and deputies arrested the male subject driver on scene. Lauderhill Fire Rescue transported him to a nearby hospital for medical evaluation. BSO’s Robbery Unit is investigating. The arrestee has been identified as Antonio L. Dominguez, 7/20/1994. Criminal charges are pending.
