Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach, Fl-One of the four sisters who for the better part of 30-plus years have badmouthed and defamed sellers of used tires. They have now acknowledged, although difficult to find on the NHTSA.gov website. We could not find it there, can you?
We did locate the recalls, which began in March we have listed them below. We obtained this information from Bridgestone’s website, not NHTSA, where it belongs.

The tire makers talk a good game about tire safety and potentially dangerous products. That said, it is they who have produced the defective product time after time since the inception of tire manufacturing.
The four sisters are Goodyear, Bridgestone/Firestone, Michelin, and Pirelli, although their trade group USTMA.org has 11 member companies who are all new tire makers.
Bridgestone’s tires had no DOT code on them, which makes it illegal to use in the U.S.A.

While the tires meet other federal safety requirements, they are not approved for use on US and Canadian highways without the “DOT” certification.
