Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach, Fl-Mayor Drosky and the City Commission did not hold a vote to stay or leave BSO tonight.
All were in agreement not to vote on this most important subject of Public Safety, which the city faces at tonight’s meeting.
As we reported earlier, Sheriff Gregory Tony was at tonight’s meeting while we were still watching it on Zoom. By the time I was able to get to City Hall, Sheriff Tony, who asked for a cease-fire and offered to pay for a transition/feasibility study, had left.
A commotion was caused in City Hall by Howard Noland, who refused to stop talking/yelling at the dais. The husband of former Mayor Peggy Noland was escorted out of the building. Mr. Noland is a retired Deerfield Beach Firefighter and also worked for BSO Fire Rescue.
