Deerfield-News. Deerfield Beach, FL- Congressman Jared Moskowitz is calling for an investigation into how Secretary Noem has handled the response to the catastrophe in Texas.

Questions are being raised about how the local Sheriff’s department responded to calls after a 1.5-hour delay in a CODE RED situation.

Questions are being raised about how the state of Texas has responded, as well as how FEMA’s response was delayed. FEMA has been the subject of the Trump administration’s drastic DOGE cuts.

(Where is Doge’s story coming up next? What happened to DOGE after Musk? Where are all the savings from waste, fraud, and abuse?)

The death toll rises to 121 as Camp Mystic cabins ‘found to be in extremely hazardous’ flood zone. 173 still missing.

Moskowitz  has sent off a letter and said the following-

“As a former emergency management director, I’ve been alarmed by how Sec. Noem has handled the tragic flooding in Texas.
I’m calling for an investigation into reports of FEMA’s delayed response. Congress has to get answers, strengthen emergency management, and protect the public”.
