At about 7 p.m. this evening, Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to reports of a traffic crash in the 1600 block of North Federal Highway in Pompano Beach. According to detectives, there are multiple fatalities. The investigation is active and ongoing, and the roadway in that area is shut down while the investigation proceeds. Motorists are asked to find alternate routes of travel.
