Beach, Fl-BREAKING NEWS-The Florida Senate has just voted 25-15 for the upholding of Governor Ron DeSantis actions to suspend Sheriff Scott Israel. Today’s vote finalizes the appeal process for Israel who was removed from office by DeSantis for his lack of actions in the Parkland MSD school shooting incident where 17 died on February 14, 2018. The vote today comes after a special master ruled in September that Israel should not have been removed from office. The vote today was no surprise as the Senate Rules Committee voted Monday in favor of the removal of Scott Israel. Israel has already filed to be placed on the ballot for the next election as Sheriff in 2020.
