| PIO Number | 26-4-26 | Date | April 27, 2026 |

Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Career Criminal Unit, in collaboration with Deerfield Beach District investigators, are searching for possible sexual assault and/or battery victims following the arrest of Verwayne Alexander in Palm Beach County.
According to detectives, Alexander has ties to Broward County and may have victimized additional people in Broward.
On April 2, 2026, Alexander was arrested in Palm Beach County on one count of sexual assault, one count of kidnapping and four counts of indecent exposure. Prior to his arrest on the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office charges, BSO detectives were investigating Alexander on a Broward County indecent exposure case.
During the investigation, BSO detectives learned Alexander was an unregistered sexual predator and a warrant for one count each of failure to register, failure to report and indecent exposure was issued for his arrest on March 10. He was later located and arrested on the warrant by the Riviera Beach Police Department that same day.
BSO investigators believe Alexander may have assaulted or exposed himself to women in Broward County and are asking those victims to come forward.
