Deerfield-News. Com-Deerfield Beach, FL – In full disclosure, I once supported Mr. Herz and wrote many posts for him and his associates regarding Deerfield Beach Mayor Ganz at that time.
Mr. Herz, as anyone knows, has run for city commission and mayor and lost twice. Now, Mr. Herz is certainly entitled to his political opinions; it’s just that no matter what the city does, he bitches. He bitches and whines like no one else in our beautiful city.
As they say, all politics is local. Herz is a staunch Republican, and while our local officials run nonpartisan races, our mayor is a Republican, like Herz. What is it about Herz that he opposes everything our elected city officials do?
Is it just a character flaw?
Is it just that he is a miserable guy?
Is it just that he wants attention?
Below are some of Mr. Herz’s NextDoor posts. His Facebook group, Deerfield Beach Politics, is rife with his non-stop complaints and excessive posts.
The above is the opinion of the Publisher of Deerfield News, Howard Levy, and Deerfield News Inc., and not our advertisers or sponsors.
Deerfield Beach voters got it right when we voted for Mayor Todd, not Dan, the non-stop complaining, man!!

How the 5 members on the Deerfield Beach commission can let city manager Rodney Brimlow (pictured below, doodling with his pen like he does every meeting) off the hook & not force him to explain how the city plans on paying for the $30+ million in startup costs to bring police & fire in house is incomprehensible to many of us.

Today’s omission of truth is regarding city manager Rodney Brimlow withholding information from the public as to how the City of Deerfield Beach will pay for the approximately $30 MILLION in start up costs to form our own police & fire departments. Vice Mayor Preston asks that question in the video below. I also sent an email to Brimlow before the meeting begging for any information on how the city will pay for this. His reply was, “The item for consideration on the January 20th agenda is for commission discussion and potential action, not a financial presentation”.

Many have asked me to publish Mayor Todd’s paid advertisement letter published way back in OCTOBER to the citizens regarding “Preparing For a Smooth Transition While Keeping Your Safety First. The letter goes on to say, “even as changes unfold over the next 24 months Police and Fire Protection will continue without interruption. The letter ends with “a steady reliable transition – as careful planning is already underway to guarantee that there are no gaps in service. It’s signed, your mayor, Todd Drosky. So much for waiting for all the financial information to be presented to the citizens before MAKING UP YOUR MIND MAYOR TODD! THIS PROVES THE DECISION WAS MADE WAY BEFORE THE RECENT JANUARY 20th VOTE!
