Deerfield News. com-Deerfield Beach, FL-Recently, an Automatic License Plate Reader camera has been installed on Federal Highway in Deerfield Beach, just south of the county line.
Flock, which is a brand, has become generic and synonymous with Automatic License Plate Readers. They are the Band-Aid of traffic cameras.
Our investigation team has filed for public records requests as to who installed the camera. The City of Deerfield Beach did not.
A very reliable source has told Deerfield News that it was installed by FDOT.
We will follow up and reconfirm once the requests are received.
