Additionally, the City of Deerfield Beach has faced considerable criticism over a situation caused by Mother Nature. The city had stated the pier would be open for Labor Day, and they have kept their word. Deerfield Beach take advantage of the great weather and visit our World Famous International Fishing Pier!
Why the Pier Closed and when the pier was closed-
- Tropical Storm Nicole caused massive damage in June 2023, including ripping boards from the walkway, damaging banisters and railings, and shaking the pier’s foundation. The Deerfield Beach International Fishing Pier has been closed to the public since that incident.
