Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach, FL-Save Boca has gathered over five thousand residents’ signatures to fight the turnover of 31 acres of land for City Hall and a mixed-use complex.
The group has done a tremendous job organizing Boca Raton residents who oppose the City of Boca Raton’s plan to turn over 31 acres to a private developer.
That developer has connections and ties to Champlain Towers South in Surfside that collapsed, killing 98 people in 2021. While denying responsibility, a huge settlement was paid to the victims and their families.

Source Google AI-Boca Raton selected the joint venture Boca Raton City Center LLC, a partnership between Miami-based Terra Group and Palm Beach-based Frisbie Group, to redevelop the City Hall campus into a massive, mixed-use complex. The project will create a 2.5 million-square-foot development including residential units, a hotel, offices, retail, and a new City Hall and community center on 30 acres of publicly owned land near the downtown Brightline station. The proposal also includes significant public space, recreational facilities, and a sustainability plan, which were key factors in the unanimous City Council approval.
