Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach, Fl- A fire broke out in a Deerfield Beach multiplex apartment Sunday. Broward Sheriff’s Fire Rescue was dispatched to battle the fire on N.E. 5th Terrace in Deerfield Beach. The following is a statement we received from Broward Sheriff’s Fire Rescue Public Information Officer Chief Michael Kane.
“Multiplex apartment with heavy smoke showing when units arrived. Firefighters deployed 2 hose lines and extinguished the fire within 15 minutes which was contained to a front bedroom. No injuries. Cause is under investigation. Also the Red Cross assisted one adult and five children with temporary housing.”
