I have seen on TV some of the hardest working citizens helping one another with no help from their government,using heavy equipment to remove debris,engineering pipes to carry water from natural springs to provide water,where there was none.People physically carrying others across rivers to save them.

Deerfield-News-No one is verifying that number last number of US Troops and federal workers is currently 10,000. We can not verify there are. The number verifed was 4600 less than half of what Trump says are there.Puerto Rico still only has 5 percent of the Island with electric power only 50 percent have had water restored and cell service is still very very bad.Proud to see my fellow Americans in the Bronx on Tv today, many who came from all 5 New York boroughs,New Jersey and other states to organize a volunteer relief effort as many communities across America are doing.As we reported on yesterday Boca Raton Jewish community members organized a private charter jet that brought aid to the Jewish Community Center in San Juan for distribution to those in need in the town of Loiza.These truly genuine acts of human kindness we are seeing across our country are still not going to be enough to restore Puerto Rico to pre Maria conditons.Only the US federal government has the resources that can do that.Let’s hope we have gotten the message to Washington.
