Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach,Fl- Broward Sheriffs Deputies were answering a call for an assault on an elderly person.When Sheriffs Deputies entered the dwelling in the infamous Highland Gardens rental complex, they found Clyde Leandre inside of the 93 year old woman’s apartment. Neighbors heard her alarm which every apartment has and came to her rescue but were unable to subdue the suspect.Deputies arrived and after a scuffle with four Deputies, Leandre was arrested and taken into custody. BSO says he has a long history of crimes.His charges are Burglary,Resisting Arrest with Violence,False Imprisonment and Sexual Assault.Both the 93 year old victim and the suspect were taken to Broward North Hospital in Deerfield Beach for medical treatment.
Born on 8/20/1992 from Delray Beach Leandre was incarcerated until 11-27-2012 at the Glades work camp where he was serving a 16 month sentence for aggravated assault.Leandre also goes by the alias “Super Goon” according to arrest records.
