Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue Responds to 40-Foot Vessel Fire at Deerfield Beach Marina
Deerfield Beach, FL – At approximately 2:30 p.m. this afternoon, Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue (BSFR) responded to reports of a 40-foot marine vessel on fire while docked at a marina located at 1754 SE 3rd Court in Deerfield Beach.
Initial reports indicated that multiple individuals were aboard the vessel as the fire broke out. Upon arrival, fire rescue crews confirmed that three people had been safely evacuated from the vessel. Firefighters immediately initiated suppression efforts and successfully extinguished the blaze within approximately 30 minutes.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident. In total, approximately 30 firefighters and multiple fire apparatus responded to the scene to bring the situation under control and prevent the fire from spreading to nearby vessels or dock structures.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
