Deerfield-News. Deerfield Beach, FL-Operation CVE Blitz: BSO Deputies step up traffic enforcement in Century Village.
Continuing with our speeders stories and videos of the ongoing “Stop Sign Runners and Speeders” in Century Village. The following is what the fees are to BSO for getting BSO “Special Detail Deputies” who can and will enforce the traffic laws in Century Village.
I actually think a couple of speed bumps before the stop signs at West Drive and Newport, and West Drive and Century Boulevard, and Berkshire and Century Boulevard would do more to stop the stop sign running than anything else. The one three-way stop that seems to get obeyed more than any other is at Ashby/Century Boulevard and the tennis courts by Military Trail gate.
In two days of traffic enforcement of 11.5 hours, BSO Deputies issued 24 citations in CVE 23 for running stop signs and one for a seat belt violation.

$222 PER DEPUTY PER HOUR FOR 3 HOURS FOR FIVE DEPUTIES OR A TOTAL OF- $1110
$243 FOR THE SERGEANT FOR THREE HOURS
$1353 FOR 6 DEPUTIES, INCLUDING THE SERGEANT, FOR 3 HOURS
A BARGAIN WHICH IS NEEDED TO STOP THE MADNESS…..
