The BSO Public Information Office is currently working a developing incident regarding a traffic crash investigation located at: 4400 block of Northeast Third Avenue in Deerfield Beach. Public Information Officer Miranda Grossman is currently gathering the details. Here’s what we know so far:
At around 1:45 p.m., Broward County Regional Communications received reports of a crash involving three vehicles near the 4400 block of Northeast Third Avenue in Deerfield Beach. Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies, Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue and BSO’s Aviation unit responded to the scene. According to investigators, one person involved in the collision was pronounced deceased on scene. Three additional people were transported to an area hospital by paramedics for treatment. Detectives with BSO’s Traffic Homicide unit were notified and are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this fatal crash. Due to the investigation, Northeast Third Avenue between Northeast 48th Street and Northeast 43rd Street in Deerfield Beach is shut down. Motorists should seek alternate routes.
