Folks who do not use Youtube or TikTok may not be familiar with “Constitutional Auditors,” who generally will visit governmental agencies and video. What you see happen in this video is typical of the reactions they get. Generally, employees, customers are not happy being on video and call the police. Sometimes, the auditors will go directly to Police stations or parking lots of police vehicles, knowing a confrontation is coming.
THE ISSUE AT HAND IS THIS IS A PUBLIC BUILDING OPEN TO ALL”.THE AUDITOR IS COLLECTING CONTENT, WHICH IS A CONSTITUTIONALLY PROTECTED ACTIVITY.
The auditor, as a citizen journalist, has rights. The public has no expectation of privacy in public. A U.S Post Office is a public facility, and the citizen journalist does have a right to gather content, even if that involves filming customers, employees, or the police when they eventually arrive in these situations.
A reader called ValleyKen sent me this information via email. I am not sure he will be happy with this post, as I have to include the video and photos contained, but like a baseball umpire, I have to call them as I SEE THEM.
