Deerfield-News.com.com-Deerfield Beach, FL- Traffic Advisory to all Deerfield Beach residents. The CVE Reporter in their May issue reported that main gate demolition and rebuilding will start Monday, May 12th. Be ready for heavy traffic entering and leaving the other two remaining gates—the gate on Powerline Road and the gate on Military Trail.
As many who drive around Century Village know, leaving out the Military Trail gate has several issues. Generally, when drivers attempt to cross three lanes, turning right is the only way they can turn, so they can turn left onto Tenth Street or make U-turn to go north on Military Trail.
Hopefully, during construction, which was delayed until after the season, traffic will not become a CLUSTER#UCK. Remember your patience, as I am sure there will be backups on Military Trail and Powerline Road, both entering and leaving Century Village.
You can expect traffic delays at both of the remaining open gates. Last time the front gate was closed, traffic on the Powerline Road gate was past Tenth Street and Powerline Road to enter Century Village. Hopefully BSO will be there if needed to help with traffic.
