UPDATE: Sadly, detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit say a missing 71-year-old woman has been located deceased.
According to detectives, around 6 p.m. on Monday, July 8, Marie Jean-Marie was found in a lake on the south side of Sample Road in Pompano Beach. She was pronounced deceased on scene. BSO’s Homicide and Crime Scene unit detectives responded to investigate. The cause and manner of death will be determined by the Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office. At this time, no foul play is suspected.
A missing persons alert was issued for Jean-Marie on Monday, July 8, after she last seen around 2:30 a.m. that morning near the 1300 block of Southwest 11th Avenue in Deerfield Beach.
