BOCA POLICE: 911 LINES ARE DOWN COUNTY WIDE, PLEASE CALL 561-368-6201 FOR ANY POLICE, FIRE OR MEDICAL ASSISTANCE NEEDED.
911 service has been restored. It appears to have been an issue with a telecom company that affected areas in multiple states.
After seeing the system in Boca Raton being down, one has to question Broward Counties 911 which has had its own share of problems with the amount of time it takes to answer a call. We will be following up on this subject, we have requested some information from the county.
As a result of the failure of the telephone system for 911 in Boca Raton yesterday we have asked BSO where would a Deerfield Beach resident call if our system was down.
