Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred early Friday morning which left one man dead.

At approximately 3 a.m. on Friday, May 20, BSO deputies responded to a report of a man lying in the roadway, not breathing, near the 800 block of Northeast 48th Street in Deerfield Beach. On scene deputies located an unresponsive adult male. The victim had sustained a gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased on scene.
