Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach, Fl-Eyewitness accounts say the driver of the car tried to beat the Brightline and lost. Today’s Brightline vs car accident happened in Pompano Beach. Authorities say the driver was able to exit his car by himself. The driver was taken to the hospital and is expected to be ok. Both the car and train were damaged as a result of the crash. As we have reported Governor Ron DeSantis has ordered an investigation into the high amount and frequency of Brightline’s accident history. The High-speed rail which will eventually go from Miami to Tampa was purchased by Richard Branson and Virgin last year. Brightline has been involved in over forty incidents more than any other train in the country and many of the accidents have resulted in deaths.
