Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach, Fl-Last week partial success came in removing the stranded tug boat off of Deerfield Beach, while still leaving the barge. Attempts to remove both proved only a success for the smaller tug boat. The barge remains a fixture on Deerfield Beach. City leaders seem perplexed in assisting their contractor in removing the stranded barge. The city had taken the position last week of the tide was going to be their friend and at high tide, the boats would be gone, not so. Seems the City of Deerfield Beach still has not clarified what the plan is.
