Deerfield Beach Mayor Ganz Covered Up Theft He Has To Go

Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach, Fl-Taking taxpayers money when you are not entitled to it is theft. Both Burgess Hanson who committed the act and Mayor Bill Ganz who gave his tacit approval by not reporting the theft to authorities. While Hanson appears not to be very smart forfeiting his $150,000 severance package over $16,000 bucks does not excuse Mayor Ganz for not reporting this theft.

Certainly, Deerfield Beach needs a “Forensic Accountant” to review all of these Shanningans. Certainly, the State Attorneys Office or BSO or FDLE need to open an investigation.

Here is what we know our city manager Burgess Hanson misused/stole about $16,000 from apparent COLA money he was not entitled to. Mayor Ganz got wind of this allowed it as Burgess was supposed o pay it back. Then on Friday, he learns Burgess did not and things blow up and Herr Ganz demand resignation. Ok so it is ok to steal from the city of Deerfield Beach. The Mayor and I am sure others knew about it and there is no investigation?

Last week he asked again and demanded proof of payment — then Hanson said he would pay it the next day, which he did, Ganz said.

So the Mayor last year “KNEW” the city manager received $6000 which was $6000 dollars illegally and no one is investigating the mayor, too????? This is criminal!!!!

When the Mayor discovered what he did he had an obligation to report it. Not reporting a crime when you are the Mayor that was committed by our City Manager is tantamount to aiding and abetting.

Mayor Ganz had knowledge of theft of our money and of the fact David Santucci has a checkered past including allegations of wife beating and he told no one!

Here is the unsolicited email alleging Santucci is a wife beater, the Mayor received it from Deerfield-News.com and the redacted sender prior to Tuesday nights meeting. Mayor did and said nothing about it while our commissioners voted for Mr. Santucci to be interim city manager.
