Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach, Fl-Still no end in sight for Deerfield Beach to begin recycling again. While the Mayor called Waste managements increase in tipping fees (“Tipping Fee “is the amount you pay per ton to have your truck “TIP”/Empty at recycling facilities or landfills) EXTORTION and Waste Management EXTORTIONISTS during a recent meeting while a Waste Management representative was present in the audience.

That said he has no backup plan.No one on our city commission does either. Attacking the company that at least at this moment appears to have Deerfield Beach over the barrel might not be the wisest business negotiating tactic. Time for a solution to this problem where are the city manager and mayor and commission looking to resolve this important issue?

Hello friends,

I hope everyone is having a great summer. I want to let everyone know that I am working very hard to help reinstitute a recycling program in our city. The details are complicated and require thoughtful vetting before going forward. However, I believe we are making good progress and there should be some public announcements in the coming weeks. Many of you have emailed or called me and your voices have been heard. I appreciate your continued patience.

Have a good weekend!

Todd Drosky
Commissioner

Progress would indicate they have a plan, I am not so sure that at this moment that is a fact.
