The BSO Public Information Office is currently working a developing incident regarding a fatal traffic crash located at: 1500 N. Dixie Highway, Pompano Beach. Public Information officer Veda Coleman-Wright is currently gathering the details. Here’s what we know so far: Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating a fatal traffic crash that happened shortly after 3 p.m. involving a deputy and bicyclist at the above address. The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Media should stage at the northwest corner of 15th Street and Dixie Highway. Approach from the north (Copans Road). Motorists are advised to avoid the area due to road closures. North Dixie Highway is closed from the 1000 block to the 1500 block. A BSO public information officer will be on scene at approximately: 4:45 PM. |
