Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach,Fl-Yesterdays opening of the first Broward Wawa has caused Deerfield Beach gas retailers to drop their price.Driving around in Deerfield I saw the 7-11 U-save on US One south of 48th Street across from the Walmart at 1.99, as well as Shell on US 1 and Hillsboro Boulevard with the Dailey’s C-store and they were busy. I thought the Speedway on 7th and Federal and Marathon also would have dropped the price ,but not yet.Meanwhile out west “The WAWA Effect” has not taken hold as far a gas prices.All gas retailers we stopped at had prices from 2.179-2.459 for unleaded,no one matching the WAWA 1.99 out in west Deerfield Beach.
