The BSO Public Information Office is currently working a developing incident regarding a homicide investigation located at: 700 West Hillsboro Blvd., Deerfield Beach.
Public Information officer Gina Carter is currently gathering the details. Here’s what we know so far:
Just before 9 a.m. Deerfield Beach deputies responded to a report of a possible assault at a construction site at the above address. One man died on scene, a second was injured and transported to an area hospital. Homicide and Crime Scene Unit investigators have responded.

UPDATED- A fight apparently broke out between construction workers, witnesses said two men had tire irons another an axe.In the end, one is dead and on with severe injures BSO can not clarify as of now exactly what happened they are interviewing all potential suspects and witnesses” Gina Carter. “It’s also unclear if these two men knew each other. Right now, detectives are speaking to everyone involved, trying to piece together different information to determine why the attack took place.”
UPDATED One In Custody!-
Officials said 32-year-old Jonathan Schuler assaulted Arcenio Alvarez with a crowbar at the site.
Alvarez, 32, was rushed to Broward Health North where he later died.
