Deerfield-News.com has reported for the last two years this move has been delayed but it appears ready, set, go now! CVS construction at Century Plaza to start as soon as March sources tell us.”Boston Market to Move Out” we have no confirmation where they are going. No comment as of yet from Boston Market as to if it will be in west Deerfield Beach.No word from Trail Plaza owners as to who or what will go into CVS when they vacate.
Traffic on Hillsboro Boulevard eastbound snarled right now due to contruction.Imagine traffic snarls coming in March when Military Trail will have an entrance to Century Plaza closed. This should be real good for south bound traffic on Military.Read in a recent Deerfield Beach /DOT official comment it will add only 3 seconds to your drive??? Three second rule heh DOT not buying that or eating the fry dropped for 3 seconds either.
Trail Plaza has been plagued with some empty space since COMP USA/Tiger Direct vacated, Vicos Sports Bar has just closed and appears to be reopening as a Brazilian Steakhouse more to come on that.Both Century Plaza and Trail Plaza are located on Hillsboro and Military on South West corner and North West corners.Both are about forty years old and have seen some changes during the years.Trail Plaza has lost anchor tenants mentioned above, but also Winn Dixie which was a busy store back in the day.Brixmoors Century Plaza which has only a couple of retail stores operating seems to be going toward a more medical plaza approach with doctors, pharmacy,laboratories a couple of banks and now no restaurants.
