BSO and FBI were in pursuit of the following suspect pictured above now in FBI custody.
Subject: FBI RELEASES PHOTOGRAPH OF A BANK ROBBERY IN DEERFIELD BEACH, FL
The FBI is releasing a photograph from a bank robbery that took place this evening (11/25/2016) at approximately 5:22 p.m. at a Bank of America branch, 1701 W. Hillsboro Blvd, Deerfield Beach, FL.
The robber entered the bank, implied he had a weapon and demanded money from a bank employee. There were customers in the bank at the time of the robbery, there were no injuries. The amount of money taken will not be released at this time.
The bank robber is described as follows: See attached picture.
The robber fled the bank in a 4 door Mercedes eastbound on Hillsboro Blvd. Police identified the get-a-way car as it left the bank and began to follow it. Upon arriving at the railroad tracks on Hillsboro Blvd, the robber drove the Mercedes North on the tracks for approximately 1/4 mile, where the car became disabled. The robber abandoned the car on the tracks, fled on foot and is currently still at large.
At the time of this release, both directions of the railroad tracks are shut down. The tracks will remain closed until the get-a-way car is removed and the tracks are inspected by officials from the railroad and deemed safe.
