Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach,Fl- Broward Sheriff’s Office Robbery detectives are searching for a group of thieves who physically assaulted and robbed a man outside a neighborhood clubhouse in Deerfield Beach. Security cameras captured the suspects and the getaway vehicle. Investigators are asking for the public’s help to identify this band of bandits.
At approximately 8:15 p.m. on December 1, Cedric Aspilaire sat outside the Pompano Lakes Townhomes’ clubhouse at 321 N.W. 46 Street in Deerfield Beach when four young men with their faces covered with bandanas approached him. The thieves snatched the victim’s Kindle Fire tablet, along with his cell phone, his skateboard and his backpack.
Aspilaire attempted to stop the robbers, but they began to kick and punch the victim, going so far as to strike him across the back with his own skateboard.
After the attack, the assailants ran to a sports utility vehicle, possibly a dark-colored Toyota, waiting on N.W. 46 Street. Detectives are searching for the four thieves and the getaway driver.
