PIO Number: 15-10-10
Date: August 8, 2015
Time: 5:05 a.m.
Place of Occurrence: 819 W. Sample Rd., Deerfield Beach
Jurisdiction: Deerfield Beach
Victim(s):

Number 1 Beauty Supply, 819 W. Sample Rd., Deerfield Beach
Suspects:

two unidentified male suspects
Description of Incident:

Burglars stole dozens of hair weaves worth thousands of dollars from a Deerfield Beach beauty supply store. Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying these hair-obsessed thieves.

August 8 started as a very bad hair day for workers at Number 1 Beauty Supply when they discovered that two burglars had broken in at approximately 5 a.m. that morning. The thieves had used a window punch to smash the glass front door. The men stole 50 Brazilian hair weaves displayed just behind the cash registers. The hair was valued at approximately $3,000.

Aside from the broken glass, the thieves had not left a hair out of place. They had not disturbed the cash registers or stolen any other items from the store.

Detectives are searching for two male suspects with medium to dark complexions, possibly black or Hispanic. They both wore white T-shirts. One wore dark-colored shorts. The other wore dark-colored pants. They fled in a white, late model, four-door car, possibly a Lexus.

The burglars tried to hide their identities by wrapping T-shirts around their faces. Despite their attempts one of the burglars’ faces was clearly captured by security video minutes before the break-in.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Dimos Charoudis at (954) 422-5829 or report anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers of Broward County at (954) 493-TIPS (8477) or online at www.browardcrimestoppers.org. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $3,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
