Deerfield -News.com-Deerfield Beach ,Fl- Yesterdays early morning fire that destroyed the last of Deerfield Beach roadside tree farms.Property owner Glenn Bohon has been selling trees from his operation in Deerfield Beach for decades and decades a true Deerfield Beach pioneer family.
For newer residents the tree farm may even go unnoticed as you are zipping down Powerline Road as it is on the last piece of privately owned land as it is surrounded by Quiet Waters Park.Many Deerfield Beach residents as teenagers used to “Party” on that tract of land for years before there ever existed a Quiet Waters Park all of that tract called ” The Rockpits”.
Yesterdays fire caused both a lot of smoke visible for miles in the early AM and traffic on both 10Th and Powerline Road also the Florida Turnpike affected.Again BSO Fire Rescue PIO Mike Jachles reported no injuries only destruction of the storage building.
