Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach,Fl-Today we received our public records request on the cost of the new sign.Deerfield-News.com reported about it’s sudden appearance a couple of weeks ago when the new sign appeared on Federal Highway and Hillsboro,we asked what you thought.Some like the way it looks, others not so much .When we were reviewing the invoice and purchase order I have to say I was a bit surprised at the cost.We have just requested the specifications so we can see if there is some reason for what seems to be a very costly sign.Again we ask what are your thoughts on both the appearance and now the cost of 150 thousand dollars.The other issue being raised is ” Safety” would the City of Deerfield Beach have approved that same sign if it were for a private business.The sign with it’s messaging and visual display is going to be a distraction for drivers some have said to Deerfield-News.com.
