The Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide and Crime Scene units are investigating a triple homicide that occurred on Sunday, Feb. 16, in Tamarac.

At approximately 6:02 a.m. that morning, Broward County Regional Communications received reports of a shooting in the 9700 block of North Grand Duke Circle in Tamarac. Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies and Tamarac Fire Rescue responded. On scene, deputies located an adult male, David Pozner, Mary Gingles’ father, suffering from a gunshot wound on the back patio of a home at 5897 North Plum Bay Parkway. Pozner was pronounced deceased on scene. BSO’s Homicide and Crime Scene units responded to begin investigating the incident.

As part of the investigation, it was learned that a four-year-old child, Seraphine Gingles, was taken from the residence. A statewide Amber Alert was issued for Seraphine shortly after 10 a.m. She was believed to have been taken by Nathan Gingles, Seraphine’s father, who was driving a 2016 silver BMW X3. Multiple BSO resources engaged in the search for the child. Shortly before 11 a.m., BSO’s V.I.P.E.R. (Violence Intervention Proactive Enforcement Response) deputies located the vehicle involved in this incident at 7900 West McNab Road in North Lauderdale. Seraphine was located safe and unharmed, and Nathan Gingles was taken into custody.

During this time, while searching for Mary Gingles, deputies located her deceased from gunshot wounds inside a home at 5888 North Plum Bay Parkway. Additionally, Andrew Ferrin was also found deceased inside that residence from gunshot wounds.

The BSO Dive Team searched a nearby canal and located a firearm that is believed to the weapon used in the crimes.

Nathan Gingles was taken to the BSO Public Safety Building and was arrested on three counts of first-degree murder with a firearm, violation of a domestic violence injunction and interference with custody. He was taken to the Broward County Main Jail.
