BOCA RATON POLICE SCAM ALERT

Boca Raton Police received multiple reports of this scam attempt occurring today. Please be aware, and share with others:

Scammers are spoofing legitimate phone numbers to pose as local law enforcement agencies, in an attempt to scam you out of money and gift cards.

Scammers may inform you there is a warrant for your arrest and that you must pay to avoid being arrested. The scammer may sound convincing and use real information about you and real names of law enforcement officers to make the scam appear more credible.

Don’t fall for it! It’s a scam!

This is not the way law enforcement operates.

We will never solicit a payment, in any form, from you over the telephone.
