Deerfield Beach’s Newest Gem: Johnny L. Tigner Community Center
The City of Deerfield Beach is excited to announce the grand opening of the new Johnny L. Tigner Community Center at the Oveta McKeithen Recreational Complex. The state-of-the-art facility will officially open its doors to the public on September 21st, 2024, at 10:30 AM.
The Johnny L. Tigner Community Center is a testament to the City’s commitment to providing exceptional recreational and community programs for all ages. This modern facility boasts a banquet hall, multi-purpose programming spaces, and general support areas, offering a variety of activities and events for residents to enjoy.
The Center is dedicated to the memory of Johnny L. Tigner, a longtime City employee and resident who dedicated 37 years of service to Deerfield Beach. The City is honored to continue Mr. Tigner’s legacy by naming this community center in his honor.
The grand opening ceremony will take place at 435 SW 2nd St. and will include tours of the facility, interactive demos led by instructors, and light refreshments.
