Vote-By-Mail Ballots to Be Mailed for the 2024 Primary Election
Ft. Lauderdale, Florida – On Tuesday, July 16, 2024, over 200,000 Vote-By-Mail ballots for the August 20, 2024 Primary Election will be mailed to voters.  Voters are reminded to sign their Vote-by-Mail Ballot Voter Certificate on the Envelope before mailing it back to the Supervisor of Elections office.  Voters who want to vote by mail must request a ballot no later than August 8, 2024.

“Over 200,000 domestic Vote-By-Mail ballots will be going out on the 16th from our new state-of-the-art building. This number of requested Vote-By-Mail ballots is approximately one-third the number requested for the 2020 Election. The decrease in requested ballots is due, in part, to the recent change in Florida law. We hope more voters will take advantage of the option to Vote-By-Mail by visiting our website and renewing their request.”

The media is invited to attend a viewing of the loading of the truck at the Supervisor of Elections’ new state-of-the-art building. This event will be conducted as follows:
When:                  Tuesday, July 16, 2024
                                 9:30 a.m.
Where:                Supervisor of Elections Office
4650 NW 21st Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309

Vote-By-Mail ballots have pre-paid postage built into the return envelopes.  Voters returning a Vote-By-Mail ballot by mail should provide as much time as possible for the USPS to deliver the ballot as ballots must be received – not post-marked – by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day, August 20th.
There will be over two dozen locations for ballot drop off during the dates and times of early voting. Once early voting ends, voters can deliver their ballots to any office of the Supervisor of Elections until 7:00 p.m. on August 20th.  Visit www.browardvotes.gov for locations.
