Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach,Fl-An afternoon truck rollover accident near Powerline Road and Sample Road triggered an “Emergency Alert System” message on both TV and Cell phones for local residents.
This afternoon Deerfield-News.com spoke with BSO Public Information Officer Miranda Grossman who at the time could only say BSO was dispatched to an accident near Sample Road and Powerline Road. This evening Broward Fire Fescue Public Information Officer Chief Michael Kane told Deerfield-News.com the following via email.
” We were called out to assess a truck-which was carrying fireworks-had rolled over. Our Hazardous Materials Team responded and oversaw the mitigation of the potential fire/explosive hazard and righting of the truck. No injuries were reported.”
